it's an ironic cyclic project, and a sad one. the only way to address it is by literally being about it in observation.
Our project needs to be dismantled thru a process of directly addressing it. and then putting art on that as a support,as fertile soil. Then, it will be behaving as itself.anything else is preceded by an excepted stillborn cathartic notion.
As with outsider, marginalia, art brut, art of the insane,etc..that inadvertant honesty of how it just naturally IS..is true honesty.

and by the way, the folk MARKET, is exactly that.a market. and really,it's the most easily sanctimonious environment of artists. Sure, galleries represent them. But beside that...the south needs representation beyond (and perhaps by its very nature in defiance of) the connotation of folk art that the south so proudly values. It has more than this,of course.

art is fun to look at,tho..aint it?

duh!
